ISOBOARD®extruded polystyrene rigid foam, has closed cells with common sides and is produced on a continuous, fully automated extrusion process, in accordance with international specifications and standards.

The cost of energy and demand for air-conditioning in buildings is constantly increasing. One of the best ways to conserve energy is to provide high class insulation for buildings.
The ever increasing costs of heating and cooling dwellings, workplaces, livestock and storage facilities, highlights the need for effective, long-lasting insulation. Insulation should be viewed as a long-term investment. With increased energy conservation becoming more and more important, the ability of the product to effectively insulate a building - of whatever type - is equally important.

This is exactly what ISOBOARD® achieves. And what is more the product outperforms its competitors when comparing long term retention of thermal resistance.

ISOBOARD® thermal insulation is a high density, rigid, extruded polystyrene insulation board. It has a 100% closed cell structure and is produced on a fully automated extrusion process - in accordance with international specifications and standards.

In controlled environments e.g. air-conditioned office blocks, wine cellars, etc., the product's payback period ranges from 3 - 5 years, due to savings on energy costs.

With the manufacturing plant base in Atlantis, Cape Town, the use of advanced, state-of-the-art technology makes it possible to guarantee exceptional properties such as:
      SAVINGS UP TO 40%
ISOBOARD® retards heat flow into buildings in summer.

ISOBOARD® keeps heat inside buildings during winter.

ISOBOARD® has a k-value of 0,024W/m°C (determined in accordance with ISO 8302:1991(E) or ASTM C518) at 20°C mean temperature and 90 day aged. The k-value will increase with time when exposed to air and will also be influenced by water content.

      · high resistance to heat flow i.e. conductivity

ISOBOARD® will only absorb 0.32% (ISO 2896:1987) water and heat flow resistance will reduce by only 3%.

ISOBOARD® 's closed cellular structure provides exceptional resistance to water vapour permeability. Heat flow resistance will reduce by a maximum of 8%.

      · resistance to water vapour diffusion and water absorption
      · uniform density distribution

      · very high compressive strength

      · ageing resistance

ISOBOARD® is odourless, chemically inert and does not supply nutrition for pests, or support micro-organism growth.

Everite, founded in 1941 by Swiss entrepreneur Hans Rudolph Benecke, is a world class supplier of building products to the Southern African region. Everite's strategy is to focus on niche markets, providing service and products that meet customer defined specifications and expectations

By the late 1940's two factories at Klipriver, Gauteng and Brackenfell, Cape Town were producing a comprehensive range of flat, corrugated and moulded products.

The company was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in 1959.

In the 1980's Everite embarked on a campaign to find a suitable replacement for the asbestos fibres, which led to the introduction of Nutec fibre-cement products. This has now developed to the stage where all their flat products are manufactured without asbestos as a raw material.

In 1992 Group Five acquired the Swiss shareholding of Everite and with it control of the company. In 1997 Group Five bought the remaining 49% of the share and de-listed it.

Today Everite Building Products enjoys a strong presence in South-Africa and has made aggressive inroads into the international market.

Their Product range is well placed across the building and construction industry, serving the full spectrum of end-user market segments, distribution channels and influences with competitive and quality solutions.

Nutec fibre-cement is the registered name for fibre-cement building products made without asbestos. Waste materials from the fibre-cement manufacturing process are either recycled or disposed of under controlled conditions. Builders rubble containing fibre-cement off cuts can be disposed of in normal ways, as the high density material will not release significant quantities of fibre into the atmosphere.

Nutec flat sheets are manufactured from a combination of Portland cement, silica and organic fibres and do not contain any asbestos fibres. These materials have considerable strength in their own right and will not deteriorate with age.

EVERITE has over the years established a reputation for producing outstanding quality flat sheets which have been used over a wide range of external and internal applications.

Nutec flat sheets are available in medium and high density material and in plain and medium density textured finishes, offering a wider choice for innovative applications.

Nutec flat sheets are:

· An economical all-purpose building board which is unaffected by moisture and therefore ideal for internal and external use in almost any application.

· Relatively light in weight and can be supported on light gauge metal frames or light timber structures. These factors facilitate easy handling and erection and are major benefits on projects where low mass construction is an important factor.

· Non combustible and provide perfect protection against flying sparks.

· Resistant to corrosion and are unaffected by ultraviolet light.

· Designed to have good thermal properties when compared to other building materials.

· Manufactured to the highest internal quality standards and compliance is ensured by strict quality assurance programs in the production process as well as stringent laboratory testing.

· All Nutec flat sheets carry a SABS mark for compliance to the specification SABS 803.

· Nutec flat sheets are supplied in their natural color but are compatible with a large variety of applied coatings and paints. This allows the designer an almost limitless combination of colors and textures for external and internal applications.

The sheets are best painted with a pure acrylic PVA paint.

Everite has recently extended its range of Nutec fibre-cement products with the introduction of tongue-and-grooved panelling which features a realistic wood grain finish and is suitable for use in a variety of applications, both interior and exterior.

This product is supplied in a natural grey colour and, as it is compatible with a variety of paints, the timber-like finish can be enhanced with wood stain varnishes or paint techniques. The decorating possibilities with Nutec panelling are limitless - different combinations of colours and textures can be achieved by using a brush, roller or spray gun. When compared to natural wood,Nutec tongue-and-grooved panelling is cost-effective and exhibits high performance properties of being vermin, rot and termite proof, non combustible and maintenance free. Nutec tongue-and-groove panelling is available in 6mm and 9mm thicknesses, widths of 1200mm and in standard lengths of 2400mm, 2700mm, 3000mm, and 3600mm.

BPB Gypsum, the manufacturers of Rhinowall, has been in South Africa for more than 70 years. · The walls are manufactured from natural gypsum and only recycled paper is used.

· There are also no harmful or toxic substances in Rhinowall.

· Rhinowall waste is less than 10% of that of masonry construction and the dust produced when cutting the wall is harmless.

· BPB Gypsum, the manufacturers of Rhinowall, are ISO 14001 listed, i.e. they are compliant with the international environmental standard for manufacturers. At the end of the day, less atmospheric pollution is caused in manufacturing Rhinowall than brickwork.
Insurance companies accept Rhinowall in fire protection applications and in some cases even call for drywall firebreaks.

It has a 60-minute fire rating, which is more than 3 times the legal requirement.

The SABS and government accept Rhinowall in fire protection applications.

You'll never see a Rhinowall do something indecent, like crack or peel. Only bricks and blocks are that coarse.

Brickwork using sand-cement shrinks on setting. This results in cracks.

If the environment is stable, Rhinowall won't crack.

Say goodbye to constant crack filling and other wall repairs, before repainting.

Cracked walls will compromise the sound insulation of your rooms

Rhinowall's superior sound reduction index easily blocks out 47 decibels.

These walls stop the same amount of sound as plastered 110mm brickwork and can be upgraded to 220mm brick performance with Rhinocoust insulation.

The wall is the least of the potential paths for noise. Areas of concern are: door frames, window frames and ceilings.

Brickwork is seldom straight; this leads to gaps that allow sound to pass through. Because Rhinowall is straight, it doesn't compromise acoustics.

Many multi-screen cinema complexes use special drywall for soundproofing.

Rhinowall does not transmit or lose heat, so your walls feel warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

The superior insulation that these walls offer will reduce the cost of your winter heating bill.

Rhinowall is classified as rodent proof. It will last the life of the building when used under normal residential conditions.

Renovations are done in less than half the time needed with brick walls.

Rhinowall is easily cut with a stanley knife. Boards are easily handled by two people.

Smooth finish, better than one done by a professional plasterer.

30 kg/square m instead of 400 for brickwork.
